History

Prell introduced by Procter & amp; Gambling in 1947. The original formula is a clear green concentrate packed in a tube. In 1955 Prell was marketed to women "who want their hair to have a lively display of radiant" . A woman holds a Prell bottle with her hands on both sides, right in front of her face. Prell and Head & amp; Shoulders, also made by Procter & amp; Gamble, were two of the best-selling shampoos in the United States in June 1977. Procter & amp; Gamble has the highest advertising budget in the shampoo industry. Wells company, Rich, Greene did an ad for Prell. Prior to 1 December 1973, Prell billing was coordinated by Benton & amp; Bowles. In advertising, quasi-liquid Prell will cause the pearl to sink slowly to the bottom of the container. Procter & amp; Gamble sold the brand to Prestige Brands International in November 1999. Prestige then sold Prell, along with two other shampoo brands, Denorex and Zincon, to Ultimark Products in October 2009 to focus on two larger segments: over-the- health care products and household cleaners. In July 2016, Scott's Liquid Gold-Inc. acquired Prell, together with Denorex and Zincon brands, from Ultimark products.

More variations

Prell launched an additional version in the late 1990s called Prell Thickening Formula. Instead of being green, this product has no color and boasting ability. It was withdrawn from the market in 2009, after Prestige Brands sold Prell, along with Denorex dandruff shampoo, to Ultimark.
