John B. Goodman , a native of Houston, Texas is a multi-millionaire and a polo player whose fortunes come from family and business air conditioning devices and is becoming more widely known in the United States because of the legal difficulties derived from beliefs murder in 2012.

John Bailey Goodman was one of four children, born in the wealthy Texas family, September 18, 1963. His father, Harold V. Goodman, gathered wealth in air-conditioning and also maintained race horses.

The manufacturing company, a lesser-known but well-positioned company, had started in 1975 and was run by Harold V. Goodman from the start. Launched by Goodman elders based on years of experience as a contractor for air conditioning and concentrated on making flexible channels. John Goodman bought Amana from Raytheon in 1997, then sold his microwave and equipment division to Maytag in 2001 with $ 325 million reported. Personal life

Goodman married Isla Carroll Reckling in December 1986. His family had ties to Exxon oil. He is a descendant of Frank Sterling and philanthropist Isla Carroll Sterling Turner. The couple, who has two children, became alienated and initially filed for divorce in 2005, but reconciled. Goodmans divorce was completed in November 2008 after 22 years of marriage.

Engagement in polo

In about 1989, Goodman took polo sport. Goodman became a member of the United States Polo Association in 1989. He was also a member of the board of directors of the Houston Polo Club and served as president in 1994 and 1995.

Goodman is also the founder of International Polo Club Palm Beach in Wellington, Florida. The club, which opened in 2004, regularly organizes tournaments during the polo season, including the U.S. Polo Open Championship. He told Palm Beach Life in 2004 that the club was specifically designed to attract South American players as well as wealthy individuals and celebrities from near Miami and Palm Beach.

He is the Patron in Polo Carroll Isla's Team, which he owns and founded. The organization was named after his wife. The list of team members includes elite ranking players such as Memo Gracida, Nacho Figueras, Owen Rinehart, and Todd Offen. (His wealth is called Isla Carroll as well.)

Goodman became famous after DAI's arrest after being involved in a hit-and-run car crash on February 12, 2010 at about 1 am, while under the influence of alcohol. He drove his car near the polo club he founded when he ignored the stop sign and collided with a car driven by Scott Patrick Wilson, 23. Goodman left the crash site without calling for emergency services. The Wilson car ended upside down on a canal and he drowned. Goodman broke his wrist. While testifying in a criminal case, Goodman said his car was damaged, which was the cause of the accident. He denies drunk or under the influence of drugs; However, her blood alcohol level was more than double the legal limit three hours after the accident.

He was found guilty of the DUI killing and motor vehicle killing in March 2012. In May 2012, Goodman was sentenced to 16 years in prison and a $ 10,000 fine.
