The Triangle Diner is a classic American restaurant in Winchester, Virginia. Built in 1948 by Jerry O'Mahony Diner Company, Elizabeth, New Jersey.

This is one of the best preserved classic visitors in America, with almost 100% of original features still intact. Key features include elaborate stainless steel ornaments on the exterior, rounded interior ceilings with covert lighting cove on all sides, counters with benches and booths for protective seating, and terrazzo concrete floors. O'Mahony is one of the most significant and productive restaurant manufacturing companies of all time and is often regarded as the company that sets the highest standards for construction quality and restaurant work. Every aspect of shape and functionality of the structure is very carefully designed and optimized.

O'Mahony is considered the father of a restaurant and American builder of "Cadillac" American visitors. His company's work served as an inspiration to other restaurant producers throughout the 1940s and 1950s. The Triangle Diner is an outstanding example of "Moderne architecture features" that represent visitors of prefabricated stainless steel post-World War II era. The entire restaurant building - about 43 times 16 feet - was built at the O'Mahony Diner Company plant in New Jersey and after being fully completed then transported by train nearly 300 miles to Winchester, Virginia. Have been at the same busy intersections in Winchester since I first got there, more than 60 years ago. While these design visitors are somewhat similar and often confused with the rail cars being removed from their wheels, this building has never been a railroad car.

The Triangle Diner was listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the US Department of the Interior on March 31, 2010, and was added to the Virginia Landmark Register on December 17, 2009. The building is currently closed pending the completion of a very comprehensive historic restoration, including roof repairs, and upgrades to pipes, air conditioning/heating and electrical systems. It will also feature an upgraded and enlarged kitchen at the rear of the restaurant building.

The Triangle Diner is the older of just two O'Mahony stainless steel visitors in Virginia. Of the more than 2,000 O'Mahony visitors ever built, only a few dozen still remain nationwide.

Country music legend Patsy Cline worked in a restaurant for three years after dropping out of high school to help support her mother and siblings.
