Ski Sundown is a ski area located in New Hartford, Connecticut. There are 16 tracks, 15 of which are lit for night skis. In terms of difficulty, eight lanes are easier, four medium and three difficult and the most difficult. Popular trails include Tom's Treat, which goes down a mile a mile and includes a mini terrain park (1.6 km), and Gunbarrel , a steep field straight down. mountains that offer free NASTAR as well as races sponsored by CISC. The ski area has two terrain parks, the easier it is in Tom's Treat, and the expert field garden in black diamond runs Stinger. The mountain opens its newest trail, Satan's Stairway , a double mogul black diamond design trail in the 2014/2015 Winter season. Five lifts serve the mountain, with three seats three, and two conveyor lifts. Ski Sundown has 70 acres (280,000 m 2 ) from the ski field. Ski Sundown also includes 15 of the 16 lanes that are lit for night skiing, usually up to 10pm (12pm on New Years Eve)

The Satan's Ridge Ski Area opened with the T-Bar Hall in 1963. The second T-Bar was added in 1965. The area was then closed, before reopening as Ski Sundown by Channing Murdock, owner of the nearby Butternut Basin Ski Area. In 1977, three new Borvig seats were installed at the summit. In 1987, a three-tiered tricycle, a CTEC, was installed. In 2006, there was an increase in conveyors, and by 2013, a 300-foot-long conveyor lift is installed in the Sunnyside Learning area.
